Ed's Continental Story

When I joined Continental 51 years ago, things looked a lot different. In my area of manufacturing, we didn’t have computers, so everything was done using analog gauges and blueprints. I started as a production helper and, over the years, had the opportunity to work in just about every role on the production floor. Today, I work in Fuel Injection, where I take pride in making sure every fuel and tune nozzle meets our quality standards and customer expectations, so it delivers the proper amount of fuel to the engine.

What continues to keep me motivated is knowing that the work I do helps our customers. There is a great sense of satisfaction in knowing that something I helped build is making a difference. I have also had the opportunity to train many team members throughout the years, and seeing them grow has been just as rewarding.

One lesson that has stayed with me from an ethics class I took in college is to always leave a positive, lasting imprint with everything you do, because you never know who you might inspire. I’ve tried to carry that mindset with me every day at Continental, and I’m honored to be part of a team where I know my work matters.
